How to Add an Admin to Facebook Page on Mobile

You can assign someone as—or, add—an admin to your Facebook page on mobile using multiple ways. After creating a Facebook page, adding a new admin or other roles could help you run and manage your page more efficiently.

Before you add an admin to your page, know these things…

In order to assign any role to someone for your page, you need to be an admin yourself. That is the first rule of the game.

Second, the person that you want to add as an admin to your page should be in your personal friends list on Facebook. Or else, you must have his or her email address linked to their respective Facebook account.

Third, you should know about the varying power that each of the roles possesses. In Facebook, there are multiple roles that you can assign someone as:

  • Admin
  • Editor
  • Moderator
  • Advertiser
  • Analyst

The Admin is the highest-ranked role or privilege one can assume. An admin can remove or add other admins or elevate the status of an editor (or a moderator, for that matter). So, say, if you do not trust a person very much, you probably do not want to make him an admin of the page. He might kick you out and take control of the page himself.

  • On the top-right corner of the Facebook app or Lite, tap on the vertical more button. And tap on Pages.
  • Tap on the page you want to add an admin to.
  • If you are using the latest Facebook app, you should now view the admin panel. Tap on the Settings icon on the top right.
  • Tap on Page Roles.
  • Tap on Add Person to Page

  • It will ask for your password. Enter your Facebook password and tap on Continue.
  • Now type the name of your Facebook friend who you want to add as an admin to the page, or type the email address linked to their Facebook account.

  • Install the Pages Manager (Android | iPhone) app by Facebook on your device. And, log into your Facebook account.

  • On your page, at the bottom right corner, tap on the briefcase icon.
  • Tap on Settings.
  • Now, tap on Edit Page Roles.
